Features to know about

Haul Bigger Loads with Confidence: Class III 2" Receiver with Strong Ratings

This hitch is built for real towing and hauling. With a 2" x 2" receiver opening, it’s rated for a maximum gross trailer weight of 6,000 lbs and 900 lbs of tongue weight. When you’re using weight distribution, it handles up to 10,000 lbs GTW and 1,000 lbs TW. That means plenty of muscle for small campers, boats, or utility trailers, plus strength you can count on for bike racks and cargo carriers.

Built to Last Through the Miles: Matte Black Powder Coat Over Sturdy Steel

The matte black powder coat finish gives this hitch a rugged look while adding serious corrosion resistance. It hides dirt, scuffs, and dings better than a glossy finish and stands up to road grime and weather. The sturdy, square-tube steel construction holds up to heavy use so it keeps looking good and performing strong over time.

Comparison of matte carbide black finish versus traditional glossy black finish on trailer hitch surfaces, highlighting etrailer’s rugged matte coating.

Close-up comparison showing etrailer’s matte carbide powder coat next to a glossy black finish, demonstrating reduced glare and improved scratch concealment.

Easy DIY Install at Home: Bolt-On Design with Hardware Included

You don’t need special tools or a lift to get this hitch mounted. The fully welded receiver bolts directly to the vehicle’s frame—no welding required. The complete hardware kit and instructions come in the box so you can take care of the install in your driveway using common hand tools.

Add Utility Without Sacrificing Style: Concealed Cross Tube for a Clean Look

The concealed cross tube design keeps things neat under the bumper for a clean, factory-style finish. You get the versatility of a heavy-duty hitch without the bulky look hanging out the back. It’s a practical upgrade that blends in nicely while adding real capability.

This fully welded trailer hitch receiver bolts onto your vehicle's frame with no welding required. Matte black, powder coated steel is durable and corrosion resistant and creates a rugged look.

by:

It was very well built. Installation was a little more difficult than I expected. Over all was very satisfied.

by:

Easy installation. Overall quality was very good to excellent. Everything fit like it should. Much easier to install with two people, but one person could do it alone if needed.

by:

Product is just fine, but the installation was very difficult. More an issue of the vehicle than the hitch. If i had it to do again, I'd take it to a professional.

by:

Great product. Takes two people to install in less than an hour.
Everything fit as advertised. Must follow instructions to the letter to get the bolts through the frame. No big deal.

by:

This was the Third Hitch receiver that I have installed on different vehicles, easy installation, also the videos help out a lot in case you don't understand the directions.

by:

Even though the fish wire was not included (likely fell out the hole in box), I was able to improvise and install in an hour by myself. Hitch looks good and very close to factory.

by:

The hitch was not packaged very well. the box was destroyed and the hitch was falling out the side of the box. The hitch was fine. I installed it by myself, I'm 65 and these things aren't as easy as they once were. It would have been easier with a helper. The instructions were good and the hitch fit perfect.

by:

Well built product. Pictures in the installation instructions were hard to see, and the taping the spacer to the bracket thing worked as well for me as it did for the buy in the E-trailer video - (it didn't). Finally got it, though and it looks great. Nice having a video on the site, though.

by:

This product serve me well
Unfortunately
this week I was rear ended and totaled my trailor and this hitch. So yesterday I reordered another one. It is easy to install diy and the e trailor video .
And it don’t cost much …..5stars

by:

There are not words to describe how ridiculous this is to install. As if lowering the spare tire, unhooking a cable ground, and unplugging a wiring harness isn’t enough needed to just install FOUR bolts for this thing, oh no..I’m an hour into trying to fish a piece of freaking wire down my trucks frame where you can’t see a thing, hoping it comes out the right spot so I can then pull a bolt down through the frame and into the right hole! Insane! The design of this has me laughing seriously thinking someone is pranking me. I wouldn’t do this again if I was being paid.

by:

It was pretty easy to install. The video made it so much easier for the install.

by:

Fit and installation were easy, good pr oduct.

by:

i found the price was right for the product.it was great that all instalation pieces are included. it will make a easier install with the wire for bolts is included.it will be used for box trailer and small boat towing.your techs had the answer to all our questions. thanks very much

by:

The hitch bent and with the receiver on my trailer it looks very low quality! Wish I wouldn't have purchased! You get what you pay for...

by:

This is a very well made product. Well above my expectations. Shipping was incredibly fast. I took my time, read the instructions, and watched the installation video. It was a little cumbersome but I used a floor jack to lift it and it bolted right in. It couldn't have been much easier unless of coarse if the hitch installation gnomes came and magically installed it while I was sleeping. Overall it was a 10 out of 10 for me.

Still holding up. Finish is holding up well and still as strong as the day I installed it. Superior product and team behind it. Jim

by:

Went on easy shipped fast have not used yet

by:

great hitch. meets my needs.

by:

The installation was pretty easy even for one person. I suggest mounting the forward bolts first then rotate the receiver up to attach the rear, this is how I installed the receiver. The only issue I had was the grounding wire, the side plate actually covers the original location of the ground wire. I just drilled a 1/4" hole in the bed mount bracket and attached it there. Good product fits very nicely.

Works great, hauled boats and utility trailers with it, no issues, great fitting and easy installation

by:

Went on very easily and with minimal swearing and no bloody fingers! Thank you for the great Youtube video to help the cause. Appreciated that for sure.

by:

Great hitch! Took a little over two hours for my mechanic to install on my 2023 f150. The truck had factory bumper hitch I didn't feel comfortable towing with. So thankful I purchased your receiver hitch. It even impressed my 12 yr old and 8 yr old grandsons! Excited to pull the Jet ski trailer to the lake!

by:

I received the product much faster than anticipated. Install went great and it looks and works fantastic!

by:

The Hitch receiver fit perfectly. Very pleased with the quality and finish. The installation went well after I figured out the fish wires.

by:

Easy order and fast shipping. Good quality hitch, well made.

by:

Nice! I watched the video about 4 times. I moved slowly and took three hours to install (including cleaning under the truck and learning to lower the spare tire). I expanded on a hint from another buyer -- working in the driveway, I stood the hitch receiver on a 6x6 block of wood with the square receiver on the wood and the opposite end brackets perpendicular to the driveway. My wife kept the hitch receiver balanced while crouched on the side by the fender, she didn't have to lift anything. I lined them up to the holes closest to the front of the truck, connected the bolts (loosely), then swung the receiver end up and into place, placing a block of wood to hold it up while I put those bolts on. I brought the truck to my mechanic for an oil change and had him tighten the bolts with a torque wrench (180 lbs). Honestly, I was a bit stressed over losing the bolts into the holes, but the tips in the video worked. I'm really proud of doing this.

Hitch looks great and was installed per instructions. Through no fault of etrailer I did not receive this when I needed it and had to put it on by myself late at night and into the early morning hours. My suggestions, 1. have a helper ( as suggested by etrailer) to help hold it in place while bolts are being placed. 2. Read the instructions well and do not attach the fishwire to the bolts ahead of time. I installed my hitch on a 2025 F 150 Super Crew with a Maxon liftgate. To make it fit, a small amount of material on the hitch had to be removed. It will not affect the safety of the hitch. All bolt holes lined up perfectly. I would buy this product again and would recommend it to anyone who needed one. I was late ordering this hitch and paid UPS for a 2 day delivery. etrailer did its part and shipped the product when they said they would but UPS was a day late delivering it which is why I had to work all night installing it with no help available. When I asked my etrailer salesman what I had to do to get some of the shipping fees returned due to the late delivery he told me that I did not need to do anything because he would take care of it. Within a day or two I received a $[XX] plus refund from UPS. Daylon was my salesman and he had excellent product knowledge, made sure it was shipped on time and then took care of a reimbursement without me having to do anything. That's service!!

  • Can I Install etrailer Hitch e63TR On 2021 Ford F-150 XLT If I Remove OEM Hitch?
Hey Frank, thanks for reaching out. I do have a hitch option for you, but the Draw-Tite # DT35MR you mentioned will only work if you have the OEM step bumper. What I recommend is the etrailer Class 3 Hitch # e63TR. This will require removal of the factory hitch so it will get rid of the double receiver issue. This hitch is designed to work with the factory bumper though, so I cannot guarantee if it will work with an aftermarket bumper. If the aftermarket bumper is the same height as the...

  • Trailer Hitch Ground Clearance For A 2022 Ford F-150 Lariat
Hey Keith, Ground clearance can definitely be an issue when adding on a second hitch to your F-150, like the Curt # C26HR. If you don't currently have a hitch and are adding one like the etrailer # e63TR then you have a little less to worry about. Using the front mounting hole and measuring down to the top of the receiver tube on the # e63TR will get you approximately 7" and for the # C26HR you'll get 10". you can add another 2" to get to the bottom of the receiver tube if you're wanting...

  • Trailer Hitch Receiver and Wiring Harness To Tow a 3,000LB Trailer Behind a 2015 Ford F-150
I recommend our etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e63TR for your 2015 Ford F-150. This will bolt on your truck and is rated for trailers up to 6,000lbs. For the trailer wiring you will first want to check for a blank connector near the drivers side frame rail near the back of your truck. If you have the blank rectangle connector like on the Curt 4-Way # C56110 then you will be able to plug in a 4-way. Otherwise you would need to splice in the 4-Way # 18252 to your tail light wiring. You...

  • Recommended 7-Way and Brake Controller for a 2023 Ford F-150 XLT w/a Factory 4-Way Only
Hey Greg thanks for all the information! To add a 7-Way connector and brake controller to your 2023 Ford F-150 XLT, I recommend the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller item # ETBC7, the No-Drill Bracket item # C57202, and the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty w/ Custom Harness item # RED67CR. It sounds like your 4-way connector came installed from the factory since you found the brake controller cable. There's not a custom fit 7-Way that will plug into the same connector your...

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendation for 2020 Ford F-150 with no Factory Trailer Package
We have what you need. To start the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e63TR is a great choice designed specifically for trucks without the factory hitch. For wiring the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector part # C56413 will plug into the factory connectors and give you a working 7-way connector. To add a 4-way connector you will switch the socket that comes with the kit out for the Hopkins Endurance Multi-Tow 7-, 5- and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector...

  • Vehicle Wiring Harness For a 2022 Ford F-150 Without Factory Tow Wiring Harness
I recommend adding the Tekonsha Universal 7-Way # 22551 on your 2022 Ford F-150 as there is not an aftermarket custom fit wiring harness. You will be able to switch out the included 7-way connector for the 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket # HM40975 so you will be able to have both connectors without needing an Adapter # 78118. If you are needing a brake controller the Prodigy P3 # 90195 is a very user friendly controller that is easy to read and customizable. It will plug into the...

I would be happy to help you. The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver item # e63TR is a confirmed fit for your 2019 Ford F-150. The wiring harness you will need to add a 7-way connector to your truck is the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector item # C56413. For your 2022 Ford F-150 I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e63TR. This is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver.
